Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the updated version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and is the best Samsung Galaxy Note to date. The phone is quite expensive, but offers a very smooth, powerful experience. The battery life is excellent, it has 4G and the display is full HD.

Similar to the previous Galaxy Notes, the Galaxy Note 3 is a phablet - a hybrid phone and tablet, which aims to fulfil the functions of both. However, the large size of this phone means that it's not right for everyone. It is nevertheless a very slim phone and has a smart appearance.

The phone runs the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and can be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. In addition, the 2.3 GHz quad core processor makes the phone as powerful as a laptop.

Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a super AMOLED capacitative touchscreen, with 16 million colours. It measures 5.7" and whilst it is full HD, the larger screen means the pixel density isn't as high as it is on smaller screened phones, such as the Galaxy S4.

Camera

The primary camera is 13MP with a resolution of 4128 x 3096 pixels. It features autofocus and an LED flash. The camera also features dual shot and simultaneous HD video. The video records a t2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps. There is also a secondary, front facing 2MP camera which records 1080p@30fps.

The only current competition to this phone is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which boasts a massive 6.4" screen.
