buy now pay later mobile phones

If you buy a sim free mobile phone, it is unlocked and can be used on any network. This gives you the flexibility to go with whichever service provider you choose, whether Three, Orange, Vodaphone, O2, T-Mobile or Virgin, on a pay as you go or a monthly contract which is cheaper because it does not include the phone. Also, a sim free phone is likely to have a higher value on the second hand market as it can be used with any network.

Alternatively, you may be in the middle of a contract with your current network provider, and you're just fed up with your phone and need something a bit smarter and more up to date.

Some of the more desirable mobile phones available on buy now pay later include:

  • Android phones - Android phones run the Android operating system, and you can download free (and paid for) apps from the Android market. Mobile phones which run the Android operating system including the HTC Desire S, the HTC Wildfire S, the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the Sony Ericsson Arc Smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X P990 and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro.
Incidentally, I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro because it has a pull out Qwerty keyboard which I find most useful. I'd been thinking about getting a Blackberry, but they run their own operating system and not the Android one which can be limiting - for example, at the moment you can't use Skype on them in the UK. This subject brings me neatly onto...
  • Blackberry phones - The Blackberry is a Qwerty keyboard smart phone which is popular in the business world. Current models include the Blackberry Curve 3G 9300.
  • Nokia phones - Nokia phones have their own operating system and you can download apps for it, including games, at the Ovi store. Some of the current Nokia phones include the Nokia C3 and the Nokia C1.
  • iPhone - The iPhone is ubiquitous in its appeal if you can cope with the proprietary software.
  • Others - this includes cheaper phones with less complicated operating systems - which are perfect if all you want to do on your phone is make a phonecall.
